BNP Paribas Celebrates 40 Year Anniversary in Thailand
On Thursday, 11 July 2019, BNP Paribas commemorated 40 years of successful operations in Thailand with His Excellency Mr Jacques Lapouge, the Ambassador of France to Thailand, joining BNP Paribas Group Executive Committee member and CEO for Asia Pacific, Mr Eric Raynaud and Mr Antoine Gustin, Country Head for Thailand, BNP Paribas and CEO of BNP Paribas Bangkok Branch at an anniversary celebration held at Gaysorn Tower, Bangkok, Thailand.
Some 300 dignitaries and guests attended the event including Khun Ronadol Numnonda, Bank of Thailand Deputy Director.
Thailand is a key market for BNP Paribas in Asia Pacific. Over its 40-year history, the Bank has grown alongside the country and has built a strong, integrated and diversified Corporate and Institutional Banking franchise. BNP Paribas first established its presence in Thailand with a representative office in Bangkok in 1979, and became a full branch in 1997 to better serve the needs of its clients.
Today, BNP Paribas employs close to 100 people in Thailand and is committed to continuing to build its platform here to support the growth of its clients and the country for the long-term.
