- Smart Cities
- Smart Factories

Below are some questions and answers prepared by the CCE about this event :
Innovation is a current buzzword around the world and in Thailand, at government and private levels. A lot of investment and initiatives revolve around innovation, often without a clear path or mission. Several sectors have been designated as priorities by the Thai Government, and France can proudly state that in many of these sectors, we have world leaders, strong SMEs, and innovative start-ups (Aviation and Defense, Sustainability, Agri-food, Education, Logistics, Health, Smart Cities, Smart Factory).
The CCE (Conseillers du Commerce Extérieur de la France – France Foreign Trade Advisors) are a group of business people dedicating some of their time to help the French public and private sectors by sharing their knowledge of the markets where they operate. We are 4000 around the world, 30 in Thailand covering most business sectors. The French Embassy is of course our main interlocutor, and is greatly helping in the organization of this event, and our strong partners are Business France, the Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce, and La French Tech.
Our goal is to create business opportunities for all present, in addition to the reinforcement of France’s image as an innovative nation, when we are usually more famous as a country of traditions, tourism and luxury. Successful innovation, in our view for this event, implies the application of new (France inspired) business models, with a strong local private presence in the form of a branch or a local partner, towards a government-sanctioned goal.
We will have different groups: representatives from the Thai Government, from the Thai private sector, from the local French business community, from the academic world, and from La French Tech. We also think this is a good occasion for you to invite your business partners and customers to witness the vitality of the French economy, and to let them create new links and explore new opportunities.
We expect 200-250 people in total.
The French Ambassadors to Thailand and to Laos will be present.
The FYI Center is in the center of Bangkok at the intersection of Rama 4 Road and Rachadapisek Road. The place is quite unconventional, the main room will have sitting and standing capacity, and there will be many areas for break-out discussions and for informal contacts.
Friday November 22 is the date, and the event will cover a full day, registrations will start at 8 a.m., and discussions will end around 6 p.m.
There will be a follow-up get-together at the Blue Parrot (Sathorn Soi 10), for those who wish to continue discussions.
The plenary hall will see a sequence of presentations, organized by sector, each sector consisting of 2 or 3 representatives: at least one major player in his field, and at least one start-up or SME. The world leader will make a presentation for half of the 45 to 60 minutes assigned to each sector, and the start-ups / SMEs will pitch during the remaining time.
When the attendants register, we ask them which sectors they are interested in, and for the most popular sectors, there will be a follow-up workshop in a break-out room, while the plenary hall welcomes the following sector. The purpose of the sectorial workshops is to handle Q&A, give more time to the start-ups, allow additional presentations, debates on specific topics, and B2B discussions. The participants in the break-out group will progressively return to the plenary hall at their convenience.
This means no Q&A during the plenary, we favor direct contacts for specific topics, either during the break-out sessions, or in informal discussions during and after the event. We encourage people to move around, meet, talk, in contrast to the usual format of sitting through presentations.
Sure ! We have opened 10 sponsorships, each for a value of 50,000 THB (1,500 Euros). We still have a few slots left.
